Red Poppies

Hello everyone,

The challenge this week at Penny Black Saturday Challenge #98 is 3 flowers, 2 buttons and 1 bow. I decided on a dramatic colour scheme of black, red and white for this challenge. When colouring the poppies I remembered in one of last year’s Papercraft Inspirations  card magazine one of the projects was to created poppy flowers with crepe paper. Luckily I did find some red crepe paper in my stash but I had to rely on my memory how to create them as I could not find the magazine. This is the result:

I used the following:

  • White, red, green and black cardstock
  • Penny Black stamp 3199J “Poppy fields”
  • Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils
  • Red crepe paper for poppies
  • 2 black buttons for flowers
  • Gold cord for buttons and bow
  • Gold Stickles

Thanks for visiting my blog and looking at my card.
