Monocromatic at Polka Doodles

Hello everyone,

I created this verdigris colour card for the Polka Doodles Week 16 Challenge – Monochromatic.

After looking through my archive of papers I decided on shades of green for this challenge. I had to use Emerald  Smooch Spritz and Colorbox chalk inks  to add a little bit of depth to the card background. For the embossing I used PSX  “Verdigris” and “Topiary green” embossing powder.  The three stamps used on this card were:

  • Crafty Individuals CI-234 (UK) for the bird-cage and leaves
  • Great Impressions (South Africa) N1326 for the cracked effect on the background paper
  • Inkadinkado  (US) 97634 “Dot flourishes” for the swirl. Unfortunately I stamped the swirl in the middle of the background instead of the right hand corner to make it more visible.

I added a satin bow with green paper roses, leaves and a few pearls. Thanks Dolka Doodles Design Team for such a wonderful challenge. Enjoy the weekend.

Greetings from South Africa,

Amelia
