At the Seashore

Hello everyone,

I can’t believe its time for another challenge at For Fun Challenges. This week the challenge is to make a water or beach-theme card or project. I decided to stock up on my landscape cards  that are suitable for any occasion. The little ceramic embellishments I’ve had for years in my stash so this was a good chance to put them to use. For accentuating parts of the image I added Stickels for the light beams and some Flower Soft for the rocks and foam. The image was coloured with Twinkling H20’s and watercolour pencils. At Polka Doodles there is a fantastic Aquamarkers competition going on ’till the end of August. All you have to do is make a card or project which you’ve coloured in with whatever you want –  watercolours, Promarkers, Copics, colour pencils, etc! I am also entering my card for this competition.  More info available here. For this week I entered my card for the following challenges:

Polka Doodles Week 30 Challenge – Generic Male & Female

Papertake Weekly Challenge – White and Bright Challenge

I used the following for the card:

  • White and blue cardstock
  • FabScraps designer paper
  • Great Impressions (South Africa) stamp (J653) “Lighthouse”
  • Computer-generated sentiment
  • Ceramic embellishments
  • White paper cord
  • Twinkling H2O and Lyra Rembrandt-Aquarell watercolour pencils for colouring
  • Flower Soft (Brown and white)
  • Tim Holtz distresser tool for edges
  • Tim Holtz Distressing ink “Faded jeans”
  • Stazon ink pad “Jet black”
  • Stickels ‘Icicle”

The Design Team at For Fun Challenges created some fabulous cards for this challenges – there is lots of inspiration from the other talented ladies. Hope to see your card linked at the challenge this week.

Greetings from South Africa,
