Summer Scrapbook Page

Hello everyone,

This week at For Fun Challenges the theme is to make a summer scrapbook page. I must admit to the whole Internet community today – this is my first scrapbook page I made. At first I thought it is a complete mess (very busy and bright) but I think it is publishable in cyber. In the light of this, please be kind with your comments! As I live in the Southern Hemisphere we have just reached the end of winter and today is spring day in South Africa. I used two photos my husband (he admit he is not a good photographer) took in our garden during last summer. I based the layout on the following: Summertime  means friends, fun and flowers, and my two best dog friends, Twyla and Katie, are always ready for playing a ball game in the garden.

I used the following to create the lay out:

  • Scrapbook paper from K & Company
  • Plain cardstock in lilac, pink and green
  • Martha Stewart punch “Double loops”
  • Brads for flowers
  • Tim Holtz Alterations Bigz die “Tattered Florals”
  • Tim Holtz Alterations Texture Fades embossing folder “Swirls”
  • Cuttlebug Embossing Plus “Fanciful Labels”
  • Words computer generated

Hope you like my scrapbook page. I will definitely try a lay out again sometime in future. The Design Team at For Fun Challenges did some beautiful lay outs as inspiration – we would like to see your layout this week too.

Greetings and happy scrapbooking,

Amelia

Hi Amelia, congrats on your first scrapbook page. I think this is fabulous. Love your furry friends. I am also a doggie lover 😉 I hope you received my email as I’ve given you an Award and don’t see it on your blog. I really feel you deserve it as not only are your creations stunning, but your posts are interesting to read too. Huge hugs, Sharon x
