Hello everyone,
For Fun Challenges is sponsored this week by The Stamp Fairy. They have some really gorgeous images in store and also some freebies to try out before you buy. The Stamp Fairy sponsored prize for this challenge is 3 digital images of the winner’s choice. To be eligible to win the prize at For Fun the challenge is to create a non-traditional shaped card and maybe you can win the prize– think out of the box and experiment with shapes. The card must not be square or A2 size, but can be round, star, triangle, business sized envelope etc. I decided on a three-fold concertina card and cut away a diagonal section running from the edge of the first panel to midway down the end panel. My image is “Gingerbread Babies Candy Canes” kindly sponsored by The Stamp Fairy. I used a A4 paper and my Crafter’s Companion to fold the card. To decorate the diagonal section I punched leaves with my Martha Stewart punch and added red pearls for berries to form a wreath.
I entered my card for the following challenges:
- Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge #60 – Christmas
- Ellephantastic Challenges #20 – Red and Green
- Keep it Simple – Joy
- Moving along with the Time Challenge #74 – More than one Fold (Three-fold concertina card)
- One Stop Craft Challenge #108 – Christmas Cuties
- Stampin’ B’s Design Team Challenge #86 – Holiday Card
- Top Tip Tuesday #12 – Anything Goes
- Tuesday Throwdown #27 – Embellish It (Pearls and ribbon)
I used the following to create the card:
- White and green cardstock
- Queen of Hearts Designer paper “Gingham”
- The Stamp Fairy digi image “Gingerbread Babies Candy Cane”
- Inkadinkado clear stamp sentiment60-30271 “Joy”
- Derwent Color Soft pencils
- Odourless mineral spirits
- Red pearls
- Martha Stewart punch “Oak Leaf”
- Spellbinders Nestabilities “Circles and Scalloped Circles”
- Stickles “Icicle”
The talented ladies at For Fun Challenges had, yet again, created some stunning projects for inspiration. Please visit and take part in the fun – we would love to see your card at For Fun Challenges blog this week.
Have a wonderful week.
Greetings from a (very) warm South Africa,
