Lace, Pearls and a Bird

Hello friends,

Today I have a card for you with minimum stamping, very basic and simple. I ‘ve got the chipboard birdcage and oval die cuts for ages in my stash and decided to put it to use. To create a shabby chic look to the card I distressed the edges of the paper and paper doily with Tim Holtz distress ink “Vintage photo” and added faux stitching. The cream coloured American seam binding for the bow dyed wonderfully with the distress ink to match the BasicGrey background paper. Recently I started to make my own fancy pins and in future you will see more of them on my creations. I hope you enjoy the card as much as I had in creating it.

I entered the card for the following challenges:

I used the following to create the card:

  • Eggshell cardstock
  • BasicGrey Designer paper
  • Paper doily
  • Chipboard birdcage and oval die cuts
  • Kanban sentiment stamp
  • Paper roses
  • Lace
  • Seam binding
  • Fancy pins
  • Wax cord
  • Tim Holtz distress ink “Vintage photo”
  • Cuttlebug die “Hearts and Stamps”
  • Marianne design Creatables “Swirl”  LR 0116
  • Stickles “Golden Rod”

Have a wonderful week everyone. Hope to be back this week with another card.

Greetings from South Africa,

Amelia
