Hello card making friends,
Today’s card featured colours I not usually worked with on my cards. When I saw the challenge at The Play Date Cafe this week I decided to take up the challenge to create a card with the colours grey, lime and red. I used my Cuttlebug “Caged bird” embossing folder for the bird-cages, then highlighted the lines with a Ranger Perfect Medium pen and dusted the embossed images with Perfect Pearls “Pewter” to let it really pop. I was quite surprise with the outcome and although the colours aren’t really my favourites I was glad that I tried something different.
I entered my card in the following challenges:
- The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC#79 (ends 05/12) – Red, Lime and Grey
- Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge R#17 (ends 05/06) – Anything Goes
- Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge (ends 05/13) – Embossing Challenge
- One Stitch at a Time Challenge #60 (ends 05/08) – Emboss It!
A peep at the inside
I used the following to create the card:
White, lime and grey cardstock
7Gypsies Designer paper “Venice paper Murano”
Martha Stewart punch “Garden trellis”
Cuttlebug embossing folder “Caged bird”
Marianne Design Creatables LR0151
Whimsy sentiment ticket stamp
Ranger Perfect Medium pen
Perfect Pearls “Pewter”
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card. I would love to know what you think of my card and to visiting you too. Have a wonderful week.
Regards from South Africa,
