Hello everyone,

I have the privilege to be the guest designer for the August challenge at the Penny Black At Allsorts Challenge blog. I think all my regular followers know how much I love Penny Black stamps and when Brenda asked me to be a guest designer it was like striking a jackpot. The challenge this month is for everyone to enjoy as the theme is “Free and Easy” but you must incorporate a Penny Black image as the main feature.  For my card I decided on the image “Toot the flute”, can’t say it is a favourite as all Penny Black stamps are special to me. What fascinates me about this image is the absolute delightful expression on the cat’s face and his body pose – an adorable swing on the rhythm of the music. Such a dedicated musician needs to entertain his audience in a beautiful setting, so I staged him in a garden gazebo with little pink and white roses. The gazebo was made with Spellbinders Shapeabilities”Elegant posts” and a little rooftop. For a bit of elegance I added a lace curtain with climbing roses.
