Feathered Friend

Hello everyone,

Last week I told you about our garden looking like a photo from a gardening magazine with all the spring flowers blooming but on Sunday night it was hit by a hailstorm that tore all the delicate leaves and flowers to pieces.  We could just watched as heaps of hail tumbled from the sky for about 5 minutes. But nature do have its own way and four days later I can already see how the plants and lawn are recovering from it’s ordeal. Lots of fresh rainwater and the nitrogen released from the hail is indeed the best medicine after the dry winter months! But I did take a few photos of the flowers before Sunday night. But on to my card … for today’s card I followed the sketch for this week at Mojo Monday, a first for me.  Usually I just glued my different layers together the way I picture the complete card in my head. Sketches are difficult for me, don’t know why, but hopefully it will get better with practice over time.  Because of World Animal day on the 4th of October I used a Penny Black stamp “Duckling” to celebrate animal life in all its forms. Animals are close to my heart, my dearest companions in life and they always remind me of  the wonder of  the universe.
