A Friend is …

A brand new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow this Saturday. The theme is to use stencils or masks on your shabby, vintage or primitive creation. The talented Renee Matarese, our feature artist, has done a tutorial for this week on how to use stencils. There are also beautiful cards from the other design team ladies with lots of inspiration. I really had to put my thinking cap on for this one as I hardly ever work with stencils. I made the card for a very dear friend who celebrates her birthday in February. I did the flourishes with a stencil I bought a few years ago and Tim Holtz distress ink “Tattered Rose”. The sentiment is so beautiful and from the JustRite sentiment set “Song in My Heart”. The birds are dimensional stickers from K & Company that I had for ages in my stash. The lovely roses are from Prima’s Fairy Tale Roses.
