Hello blog friends,
Time just flies and I can’t believe it is Saturday again with a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow. This week we want to see some lace on your vintage, shabby or primitive card. I have this 2 pieces of beautiful lace and the chipboard birdcage for a long time and I thought this was the right challenge doing something with it. As the birdcage is a little bit dull for me, I decided to glue different size pearls to it and also a few petite roses. Red isn’t one of my favorite colours to work with but I was surprised by the outcome of this card with the red roses combined with the off white lace. The background paper is a journal card (designed by Megan Berry) from Lilac and Lavender. This is it from me today, I hope you enjoy my take on the challenge.

Hi, Amelia. Ek het via jou kommentaar op Hannelie se blog by jou uitgekom en wat ‘n plesier was dit nie om na jou skeppings te kyk nie!! Ek is beslis nou ‘n ‘follower’ van jou!! So lekker om mede Suid-Afrikaners raak te loop wat dieselfde passie as jy het.
O toggie se my asseblief net waar jy jou Hug Snug seambinding koop – ek kry geen verskaffers plaaslik nie – laat kom jy dit maar van oorsee af? Ek is al moedeloos gesoek en het dit al oorweeg om maar oorsee te bestel, die posgeld is somtyds net bietjie baie.

Oh Amelia, this is a complete work of ART!! Sooo many delightful, rich details. The laces are combined beautifully, and that birdcage is perfect with the addition of the pearls and roses! It just doesn’t get any prettier than this Amelia. A totally stunning and gorgeous creation! I love the red with the off white and that beautiful lace. Sure wish I could find that kind of lace here but never do see any. Is there someplace on line that one can purchase some of the types of lace you use? I’m making an Easter dress for my GGB Lilly and would love to have something different. Every card you make is filled with artistry and love. So appreciate you sharing your talent. “Hugs”

Oh Amelia this is just so beautiful, I love the red with the cream and the pearls on the birdcage are fantastic. I’m a DT member at Sprakles now but I don’t see that you’ve added yourself to the linky there, you might want to take a look.
