Butterfly Garden

Hello blog friends,

Today is the start of a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow. The theme for our two weekly challenge is “Make your own background” We would love to see backgrounds you have made with stencils, masks, stamping, sprays, a Gelli plate, etc. Molossi is our generous sponsor and you can see a picture of the lovely prize for this challenge  on the Sugar Creek Hollow blog post. Molossi2Your project can be a card or any other paper crafting item, such as a scrapbook layout, box, tag, etc.  but must be made in a vintage or shabby chic style. Projects which are not vintage or shabby chic will not be eligible to win the prize.

The beautiful Darkroom door collage stamp, lace flower and chipboard embellishment on my card are kindly sent to me by Molossi  to complete this card. For my background I used two shades of glimmer mists (Antique Rose from Cosmic Shimmer and Cherry Candy from Dazzles) and platinum embossing powder. I sprayed the two shades randomly on the cardstock and when dry, added some spots of ultrathick platinum embossing powder. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink directly on the glimmer mist background. Several more images were stamped and fussy cut to add for dimension to the card. The die cut corner was done with the Spellbinders Shapeablities die “Fancy Lattice”. The chipboard embellishment was painted with Tim Holtz crackle paint. The lovely lace flower from Molossi was attached with two die cut leaves and black wax cord. Hope to see your card or project at the Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge.

Hi, Amelia!! Vir ‘n verandering is ek weer by my rekenaar na 2 weke van brei en hekel an familie van Kaapstad wat hier was. As ek so aan die brei en hekel raak is dit al wat ek wil doen en dan skeep ek gewoonlik af op my blogbesoeke. Ek het besluit dat ek nou weer ‘n slag by almal moet uitkom en is nou weer geinspireerd om kaartjies te maak wanneer ek almal se pragtige werk so bewonder!!
Jou kaartjie is pragtig!! Puik (…soos altyd!!)
    Baie groete uit George!
