Hello blog friends,
It is time for a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow this Saturday, I can’t believe how time flies. The theme of the challenge starting today is Let’s Celebrate. You can create a card or any other paper crafting project for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, etc. as long as it is in the vintage or shabby chic style. Hope you can join us this fortnight at Sugar Creek Hollow.
I need a few cards for friends and family who are celebrating their birthdays in September, so I was really happy to make a birthday card. I used designer paper from the Prima Botanical collection and some tulle for the layered background. The birdcage is from Cottage Cutz and one of my favorites. It took a little bit of time to glue all the pieces together but I always love the result of this beautiful die. The cream flowers are from the Prima Eminence collection and the dusty pink paper blooms from Kaisercraft. I used a lot of dies for this card and for a list please see the project details at the end of this post.
Challenges:
- Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge R#189 (ends 08/22) – Something Old ( KaiserCraft Flowers and Spellbinders “Foliage” die)
- As You Like It Challenge (ends 08/21) – Favourite 2 Embellishments and why (I love vintage style cards and paper flowers and pearls just add that old world charm to a vintage card or project)
- Moving Along With The Times Challenge (ends 08/27) – Feeling A Little Vintage …
- Little Red Wagon Challenge #250 (ends 08/20) – Happy Birthday
- Suzy Bee’s Bloomin’ Challenge #42 (ends 08/21) – Anything Goes
