Pink Roses …

Hello friends,

Time today for a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow and the theme for this fortnight is “Recycling/Re-purposing” (re-use something or use something for a Prima_Packagingdifferent purpose than intended). Your project can be a card or other paper crafting item, such as a scrapbook layout, box, tag, etc. but must be made in a vintage or shabby chic style. I always had lots of things in my craft room that I want to re-use and this challenge is the perfect opportunity.

My recycled item is a piece of card stock from a Prima flower package (picture on the left). The script on the card-stock creates a really pretty background for the KaiserCraft paper roses, a metal butterfly and some die-cuts. The lovely ribbon is from Ebony and Ivory and gives such an old world elegance to the card. Hope you like my take on the challenge. To accentuate the black script on the paper I added some black pearls, wax cord, flourishes and a Spellbinders die cut sentiment.

Challenges:

Butterfly

The roses and vintage ribbon

Butterfly1

The butterfly and frame

Butterfly2 The sentiment, leaves and flourishes

Butterfly3

A peep at the inside

Butterfly4

Project details:

  • Cream, black and green card stock
  • FabScraps designer paper “Organic Tree” (C47 004)
  • Prima recycled packaging card stock
  • Memory Box die “Tiffany Frame” (No. 98401)
  • Marianne Design Creatables “Flourish” (LR0271)
  • Spellbinders Shapeabilities “Foliage”

Thank you for stopping by today and looking at my card, a comment will be so much appreciated. Have a wonderful day and I hope to see your creation at the Sugar Creek Hollow challenge this fortnight.

Kind regards,

Amelia

Amelia what a lovely card! The soft vintage look is beautiful. You really worked on this card. A little bit of this and that, spellbinders, memory box… Tim! I’m a huge Tim fan. Job well done! It’s stunning! I saw part of the inside and even that made me want to open the card. LOL!
    Super job well done!

Joe, dit is eenvoudig pragtig, Amelia!!! En ek het al in die verlede van daai verpakking (en ander ook) op scrapbook blaaie gebruik – ek is mal daaroor!!!! Jou kaartjie is regtig so pragtig – alles werk so perfek saam om ‘n uitstaande geheel te vorm!!! Die rose, die die-cuts, die pragtige lint en koort, die perels en die skoenlapper lyk so pragtig op die agtergrond!!! Wel gedaan, Amelia – ‘n lieflike skepping!!!

    Groete en ‘n lekker Sondag!!!
