Fall Plaids

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog . Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the lovely theme of “Fall Plaids”. fallplaidsLooking at the beautiful inspiration picture I decided to join in the fun. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you  – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.

I love to make cards with autumn colors – the browns, oranges, reds and yellows are so warm and earthy. I chose a Spellbinders embossing folder to create a rustic background for my card. I painted a few scraps of papers with my watercolor paints and then die cut the leaves with an Impression Obsession die. The basket is then filled with leaves and layered on a strip of plaid paper. To finished off I added some tiny gold pearls and a bow. The sentiment die cut is from Spellbinders. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
