A Pop of Color

Hello friends,

Today’s post is about the new challenge at Double D Challenges with the theme “Black and White with a Pop of Color”. I am joining Team Darlene for this fun challenge. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog. Looking forward to see your card!

I was inspired by the yellow sunflower in the photo. My card is in the clean and simple style and really easy to make. I used two strips of washi tape on the background layer to add interest to the card. I stamped the image and color the daisy in bright yellow and then lifted the top panel from the card base with mirror tape. I finished off with a black die cut sentiment and glitter on the flowers. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

What a cute, cute stamp! I LOVE your CAS card, Amelia. You are just as creative with CAS as you are with the more complex designs. It’s fun to do both, isn’t it? This is crisp and clean and wonderful and I love the sweet peek at the darling yellow butterflies inside.

Love that pop of color but then the washi tape is a lovely idea behind the floral panel.
