Sentimental …

Hello friends,

Time for a new challenge at Double D Challenges. I am joining Team Darlene for this fortnight’s challenge with the theme “Sentiment/Quote”. Looking at the mood board it is all about feeling sentimental. Please visit the Double D challenge blog and see more wonderful samples from Double “D”s talented designers and join in the fun!

I was inspired by the white, black and grayish colors in the photo. I used Prima “Stationer’s Desk” designer paper for the background. I layered a black fishing net die cut on the background paper to accentuate my sentiment and flowers. I finished off with a wax cord bow, some silver gemstones, glitter on the flowers and a swallow.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

The lovely sentiment

The flowers

A little swallow flying by

A peep at the inside

I adore this card. The fun flag banners with all the tiny flowers are perfect for the mood board. I love how you draped it over three areas of the card.

Oh, my gosh, utterly gorgeous! I sure do love that fishing net die and had to go look it up as I’ve never seen it before. I’ll tell you, if I hadn’t seen your card I wouldn’t have been so attracted to it, but now… it’s a must have! Your card just goes to show that fishing nets are not just for beachy cards. It makes a beautiful backdrop for your flowers and bird, and I like how your sentiment panel appears to be caught up in the net. So much beauty!
