Birthday Bunting

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog . Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme of “Fright Night”. You can  use the colors or patterns, or the images or anything you see in the mood board as inspiration for your creation. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.

Halloween is not a well-known event in South Africa so I decided to make a birthday card using the colors, patterns and bunting as inspiration from the mood board. I used a neglected embossing folder for my background and layered the bunting with mirror tape for dimension on the card. I embellished the polka dot flags with green sprigs, yellow roses, lace and pearls. I finished of with black wax cord bows, a few roses and a sentiment.

Challenges I entered:

The bunting

The roses

The sentiment

A peep at the inside

Project details

White and black card-stock — Orange and yellow polka dot paper — X-cut embossing folder “Oak Border”(XCU 818140) — Spellbinders Shapeabilities “Phase Set One” ( S4-563) — Marianne Design Creatables “Bunting” (LR0329) — Poppystamps die “Leafy Sprig” ( No. 1001) — Lace — Wax cord for bows — Pearls — Tim Holtz distress inks “Spiced Marmalade” ; Mustard Seed” and “Mowed Lawn”

Thank you for visiting today and I hope you like what you see. I appreciate your comments about my cards so much. Have a wonderful day and happy crafting.

Regards,

Amelia
