Santa

Hello friends,

November is here … and Christmas is on our doorstep! I have my first Christmas card for this year to share today at the Double D Challenge blog . Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme of “Here comes Santa”. I was inspired by the picture of Santa Claus  as well as the brown tones in the inspiration board. The team have created beautiful cards – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.

I decided to create a rustic Christmas card with kraft colors. The design is very easy and ideal for mass production. I layered a strip of music paper on my kraft base card. The stamped Santa image was layered on a lacey circle die cut and lifted of the base card with mirror tape. For the traditional Christmas colors I added some greenery and red “gem stone” berries. A sentiment, a little bit of gold glitter and a tiny gold bow are the final touches to my card. The distressed edges adds a perfectly aged, weathered look.   Hope you like my take on the Double D Challenge “Here comes Santa Claus”.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

I love your take on the challenge! You make kraft paper look so good. Beautiful with the music paper and torn, stained edges. Just the perfect bit of greenery. So nice the way you made it look like an ornament.
