It’s Cold Outside …

Hello friends,

This will be my last post before Christmas and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your visits during 2017. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and for my Christian friends, have a Merry Christmas. The theme for our last 2017 challenge at Double D Challenges is “Baby It’s Cold Outside – Winter”. The team created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile and as always there is a lovely prize to win!

My inspiration from the picture is the white, red and brown colors and also the snow. I used an adorable Penny Black stamp for my card which I coloured with my Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils. For a “frosty” feel I die cut a snowflake border and added some sparkle with fairy dust glitter.  I finished off with more snowflakes, glitter snow, a silver bow and a hanging silver sentiment die cut.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

A close-up of the image

The sentiment hanging from a silver bow

The inside with more snowflakes

Your card is just beautiful! I think my favorite part would be the “Love” charm. I may have to borrow that idea. Love it all!

Your cards are pure delight every time, Amelia! I’m especially fond of all the white with the cute colored critter on this one. My favorite look for a card. Add all those beautiful snowflakes and glitter and I’m just in Heaven! Love how you hung the die cut “love” from the ribbon, like a charm. What a lovely idea. Have a merry Christmas!
