Hello friends,
This will be my last post before Christmas and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your visits during 2017. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and for my Christian friends, have a Merry Christmas. The theme for our last 2017 challenge at Double D Challenges is “Baby It’s Cold Outside – Winter”. The team created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile and as always there is a lovely prize to win!
My inspiration from the picture is the white, red and brown colors and also the snow. I used an adorable Penny Black stamp for my card which I coloured with my Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils. For a “frosty” feel I die cut a snowflake border and added some sparkle with fairy dust glitter. I finished off with more snowflakes, glitter snow, a silver bow and a hanging silver sentiment die cut.
I entered my card in the following challenges:
- 613 Avenue Create Challenge #204 (ends 12/31) – Anything Goes/Optional Twist – Christmas/Winter
- The Cutie Pie Challenge #118 (ends 12/25) – Stars and/or Snowflakes
- Cuttlebug Mania Challenge (ends 12/26) – Anything Christmas (Dies: Precious Marieke die “Winterfun Border” (PM 10077 — Marianne Design Craftables “Snowflakes” (CR1335) — Penny Black Creative die “For You” (51-105))
- {Pin}spirational Challenge #206 (ends 01/01) – Inspirational picture
- Use Your Stuff Challenge #293 (ends 12/25) – Holiday Stamp

Your cards are pure delight every time, Amelia! I’m especially fond of all the white with the cute colored critter on this one. My favorite look for a card. Add all those beautiful snowflakes and glitter and I’m just in Heaven! Love how you hung the die cut “love” from the ribbon, like a charm. What a lovely idea. Have a merry Christmas!
