You Warm My Heart

Hello blog friends,

A card to share for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme from Team Darlene for our two weekly challenge this time is “Kitchen is the Heart of the Home!”  Looking at the inspiration board it is all about kitchens and food. Please visit the Double D challenge blog and see the wonderful samples from Double “D”s talented designers and join in the fun! Remember we are continuing the anniversary celebration with this challenge  and with once again double prizes!

I was inspired by the brown, cream and white tones as well as the wood textures in the inspiration board.  For my card I used a wood grain background paper and added some lace and a hessian strip for more texture and depth on the card base.  For an old vintage feel I selected an image from  The Graphics Fairy   – the colors just match perfectly. A die cut cup and saucer, bow, pearl hearts and two white roses were added.  I finished off with a sentiment stamped on a little tag attached to the bow. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

Beautiful vintage feeling card. I love how you paired the teacup die cut with the vintage image. I also like how you used white lace at the bottom….adds even more “vintage” look to your card. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
