Hedgy Truffles

Hello friends,

I hope you are all doing well. Today’s post is about a fun new challenge at Double D Challenges with the theme “Woodland Critters”. You can create a card or project inspired by the photo and we want to see lovely animals from the woodlands on your projects. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog. Looking forward to see your card.

I decided to use a cute image from Penny Black for my card this time. The hedgehogs are so adorable and I love coloring with my watercolor pencils for a change. It is the first time I used my new Tim Holtz distress oxide ink and I am quite pleased with the effect I get for the blue sky. I added die cut leaves and a sentiment to finish off. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

What a fun card Amelia! The hedgehogs are so cute and you did an awesome job with the sky. I love these oxide inks but I’ve never used it partially on a card like this … thanks for inspiration, I’ll be giving that a try real soon! Happy Day to you!
