Hello friends,
I hope you are all doing well. Today’s post is about a fun new challenge at Double D Challenges with the theme “Woodland Critters”. You can create a card or project inspired by the photo and we want to see lovely animals from the woodlands on your projects. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog. Looking forward to see your card.
I decided to use a cute image from Penny Black for my card this time. The hedgehogs are so adorable and I love coloring with my watercolor pencils for a change. It is the first time I used my new Tim Holtz distress oxide ink and I am quite pleased with the effect I get for the blue sky. I added die cut leaves and a sentiment to finish off. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
I entered my card in the following challenges:
- Scrapy Land Challenges #84 (ends 03/07) – Anything Goes with a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells. (Dies: Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Thinlits die ” Garden Greens” (661206) — Lawn Fawn sentiment die ” Thinking about You” (Item #LF912) )
- Love to Craft Challenge LTCCB #19 (ends 02/28) – February Anything Goes
- Create and Inspire Challenges #71 (ends 02/28) – Anything Goes
- 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #11 ( ends 02/28) – Anything Goes with a Critter

Cutest little bit of adorableness with the colorful mushrooms and hedgies! I love your blue sky corner with the leafy green branches. Perfect die cut sentiment, too. You’re so good with any kind of card you make. Hugely inspiring, Amelia!

What a fun card Amelia! The hedgehogs are so cute and you did an awesome job with the sky. I love these oxide inks but I’ve never used it partially on a card like this … thanks for inspiration, I’ll be giving that a try real soon! Happy Day to you!
