Snuggle Up

Hello friends,

A card to share for the new Double D Challenge starting today. The theme for our two weekly challenge this time is “Snuggle Up Buttercup”.  The inspiration picture says it all – think warm and cozy! I decided to make a Christmas card, my first one for this year! I love the tile with the adorable little cat and the red blanket and an old Penny Black critter stamp came to my rescue. The cat looks so happy and cozy with his little mouse friend!  I used craft cardstock for a rustic look and kept the layout simple. I added a tree created with die cut leaves and added some stars to the “branches”.  To finish off I added a die cut sentiment, a hanging red star and golden bows.  The coloring was done with my Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils.
