The Pink Hat

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme “Kentucky Derby Hat Inspiration”.  Be inspired by what you see DD_Hatson these hats, maybe it’s the colors, flowers even the horse. It does not have to be a hat! Please visit Double D Challenges and see more wonderful samples from our talented designers and join in the fun! We have a prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by while a Top Creative Winner and Top 3 will be chosen by the Design Team.

I decided to use the right bottom tile as inspiration for my Mother’s Day card. I love the combination of black and pink, so pretty. I used several layers of black and white cardstock, designer paper and some pretty lace as base for the pink die cut hat. I embellished the hat with die cut feathers, a small buckle, a rose and some glitter stones. I finished off with a stamped sentiment on a tag, bows, leaves and roses. A few hearts were the final touches.

Hope you like my take on the challenge.
