The Pink Hat

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme “Kentucky Derby Hat Inspiration”.  Be inspired by what you see on these hats, maybe it’s the colors, flowers even the horse. I decided to use the right bottom tile as inspiration for my Mother’s Day card. I love the combination of black and pink, so pretty. I used several layers of black and white cardstock, designer paper and some pretty lace as base for the pink die cut hat. I embellished the hat with die cut feathers, a small buckle, a rose and some glitter stones. I finished off with a stamped sentiment on a tag, bows, leaves and roses. A few hearts were the final touches.
