Block Pattern

Hello friends,

A card to share for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme from Team Darlene for our two weekly challenge this time is “Pick a Pattern” – the pattern must be DD_Patternsthe focus of your creation. Please visit the Double D Challenge blog and see the wonderful samples from Double “D”s talented designers and join in the fun!

Now onto the details of my card for this challenge. I created my card in the shabby chic style using four postage stamp “quilt” blocks as the focal point. With this layout I created a quilt pattern on the card. I used striped pattern paper for my background layer and floral designer paper for the blocks. The blocks were lifted from the base layer with mirror tape for dimension. The blocks were then decorated with small die cut hearts, a cat, die cut sentiment and a floral wreath. The final touches were paper roses and silver gemstones.  Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I also entered my card in the following challenges:

Stunning card, Amelia! The soft color palette and design are so striking. I do believe I recognize that patterned paper too. I have pieces in my stash from long ago.
