Old Country Roses

Hello friends,

A card to share for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme for our challenge this time is “Focus on the Sentiment”. Please visit the Double D Challenge blog DD_Sentimentand see the wonderful card samples from our talented designers and join in the fun! We have a prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org. while a Top Creative Winner and Top 3 will be chosen by the Design Team.

I used a bold sentiment die cut to create a rustic card for this challenge. The sentiment is my focal point layered on an embossed piece of kraft paper. I stamped the old country roses and leaves (Gina K Designs stamp set) with several colors of distress inks and then fussy cut them. The roses were layered on the background with mirror tape for dimension. I finished of with a few gemstones.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

FABULOUS take on the challenge, my dear. I love your beautiful roses and that wood texture on the background is genius. It’s so nice to be back in the swing of things, I have missed all my sweet peeps here on Double D.
