Parisian Lady

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme “Silhouettes”. To play along just use a silhouette as the focus of your project. Please visit Double D Challenges and see more DD_Silhouetteswonderful samples from our talented designers and join in the fun! We have a prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org. and a Top Creative Winner and Top 3 will be chosen by the Design Team.

For my card I used designer paper with a “French” theme as background. I layered a swirly die cut oval off centre on the card to accentuate the Eiffel Tower on the designer paper. I then added a elegant die cut lady, roses, leaves and wax cord bows. I finished off with pearls, a die cut sentiment and glitter on the roses. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

The sentiment

Well your lady certainly is elegant. Having tea reminds me of a bygone era. This card is perfect for the challenge. Your patterned paper is lovely, and of course your roses are stunning. I love this card.

This is so romantic! I love the soft Victorian palette and the wonderful design decision to use a silhouette. I cannot imagine any other image that would lend this type of sophistication to your design! Thanks so much for playing along with us at A Place to Start.
