Neutral Fall

Hello friends

I hope you are all doing well. Today’s post is about the new challenge at Double D Challenges with the theme “Neutral Fall”. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog. Looking forward to see your card!

My inspiration for the challenge was the lovely neutral colours and the touch of green in the picture. I used cream card-stock for the base card and then add designer paper for the background. I framed the cute squirrel in a leafy die cut frame and then add the leaves, bows and a few pearls. I finished off with a die cut sentiment. This was such an easy card to make and I love the shabby feel of it.

Challenges I entered:

  • Scrapy Land Challenges #125 (ends 11/20) – Anything Goes with a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells (Dies: Spellbinders Designer Series Timeless Heart “Heart Leaf Frame” (S5-316) — Creative Expressions Mini Shadowed Sentiments die “For You” (CEDSS002) — Lawn Fawn Craft die “Stitched Leaves” (Item #LF577) — Impression Obsession die “Leaves” (DIE095-D))

Lovely background paper, and I really like your die cut frame. And that squirrel just makes me smile with his tufted ears. Super cute and very sweet card.

Love this elegant fall card! The soft shades are a perfect background for this “framed” squirrel. Antique Linen is one of my very favorite distress inks!

Although the inspiration tile is indoor pictures, I do love that you took the neutral colors outdoors. How spectacular is that? The cream frame and the cute squirrel are great on the front, but the peek of the inside is excellent.
