Hello friends,
A Christmas card for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme for this fortnight is “What is Your Christmas Style”. Do you love Traditional, Modern, Elegant, All White, Vintage? Please add what style your card is in your blog post when entering the challenge. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile and as always there is a lovely prize to win!
I love the shabby chic style and of course lots of pink and bling for Christmas. I decided to use pink rose designer paper for my background and then layered it on kraft card-stock to add a rustic element. I added a kraft die cut wreath as frame for my reindeer picture. I attached the wreath with a bow and roses to the leaves and lace border. The wreath is embellished with lots of gemstones and pearls for sparkle. I finished off with a sentiment and silver stars. I love the soft colours and shabby chic/rustic look of this Christmas card.
I entered my card in the following challenges:
- Scrapy Land Challenges #126 (ends 12/04) – Anything Goes with a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells (Dies: Studio Light die (Winter Trails) “Christmas Wreath” (STENCILWT101) — Sizzix Thinlits dies “Crochet” (664178) — Paper Smooches Wise dies “Christmas Words” (OCD087))
- Crafty Animal Challenge #32 (ends 11/30) – Anything Goes
- Daisy Chain Challenges #36 (ends 11/26) – Christmas / Winter
- Love To Craft Challenge LTCCB #40 (ends 11/30) – November Anything Goes
