Twelve Days of Christmas

Hello friends,

Another Christmas card for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme for this fortnight is “Twelve Days of Christmas – Day 1-6″. The team created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile and as always there is a lovely prize to win!

I was inspired by Day 2 – Two Turtle Doves and the white, pink and green colours in the inspiration picture. I layered designer paper on pink card-stock and then on a white card base. I added leaves and two die cut crochet lace strips on the top and bottom of the card for interest.  The doves are lifted of the base card with mirror tape for dimension.  The finishing touches are the pink roses (sprinkled with glitter), silver cord bow and pink gemstones.  To matched the silver bow a bold die cut sentiment from silver card-stock was added below the doves. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
