Hearts

Hello friends,

Today I am sharing a shabby card, inspired by the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme is “Hearts” and the lovely mood board will surely help you to get started. The DD_Heartsteam created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog. Looking forward to see your cards!

My card was inspired by the hearts in the photo. I used a rose-themed designer paper as background for the planks and heart-shaped die cut. I added some pink glitter hearts, a pink and red rose bouquet and red bows. I finished off with a die cut sentiment. A little bit of glitter on the roses was the final touch to give lots of sparkle to this Valentine card. Hope you like my take on the challenge!

Challenges I entered:

When I first started making cards I thought that shabby chic was my style. I love it, but can’t seem to do it. You are a master and I so enjoy seeing your style. This card is the bomb! Engaging and winsome!

This is stunning Amelia! I love the shabby style and you’ve done it so perfectly on this sweet card. The weathered gray”wood” behind the lacy heart and the beautifully printed paper all go together just wonderfully! Absolutely gorgeous!
