Shades of Purple

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme of “Lavenders-Lilac-Purple”. You can include any other colours  DD_Lavenderon the mood board but with ‘purples’ as the main focus. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. The prize to win for this challenge is a “Memory Box Small Lavender Butterfly Right Corner die” and absolutely gorgeous!

I was inspired by the colours – purple, green and white – and the hearts in the photo. I used designer paper in shades of purple for my background and then added an intrinsic die cut layer as base for the heart, teapot and teacup. I stamped the teapot and cup with purple ink, die cut each piece and then added the pieces with mirror tape for dimension to the base card. I embellished the heart with gemstone hearts and glitter stones in shades of purple for added interest. The fun part for me is always to arrange the flowers, leaves and bows. I finished off with a sentiment stamped on a tag and a few glitter stones. I really like the outcome of this card.

Such a lovely and sweet card. Only you would use a cute little tea set with some gorgeous roses and die cuts. This is just precious, I love it.

Amelia, the special touches that you add to your cards always make them spectacular. This card is a perfect example of that. I love the teapot and the crystals and hearts along with the die-cut background.
