Sweet Wishes

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme “Fruit and/or Vegetables”. The team have created a bunch of beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. We have also a fun prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org.

Now onto the details of my card for the new challenge. I only have one die between the tons of dies in my stash that featured fruit. As the die cuts are small I decided to make a row of different fruit across the lower half of the card. I highlighted the stitched border on the die cuts with a white gelly roller pen and also distress the fruit with inks to add depth. I layered the different fruit with mirror tape on the polka dot background and white trellis for dimension. I finished off with a die cut sentiment from black metallic glitter paper.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

I think that this challenge was just that for many of us. Me included. I love how you did this card with the cute row of fruit across that white trellis. As usual, your inside is complete too.

Your card is fabulous, Amelia! I’m somewhat of a “fruit-a-holic” (I eat some sort of fruit every day), so I was immediately drawn to those luscious looking fruits on your card. The shading you did really added to their appeal, and I love the trellis in the background. Thank you so much for entering your fab card into our latest challenge at Let’s Craft and Create. Beautifully created card Amelia, you might only have one fruit die set but it is awesome, loved the stitched look, what a clever and creative card, inside and out!
