String of Hearts

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme “Hearts”. The team have created a bunch of beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. We have also a fun prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org.

My inspiration from the picture was the hearts and red and white colours. I decided to make an “easy-to-create” card although the card have several layers. I framed the white layer with red cardstock and then added my heart border die cut. The heart border was cut from metallic red cardstock that gives a beautiful shine on the card. I have this die for several years but this is the first time I used it  because of its length – now it fits perfectly on a trendy slimline card! I cut a sentiment from black glitter paper, layered it on a piece of white cardstock, which was then adhere on the card with mirror tape for dimension. This was really an easy card to make, with just two dies, and I love the outcome.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

Project details

Red and white cardstock — Red metallic cardstock — Black glitter cardstock — Memory Box die “Delightful Heart Border” (Style no 98767) — Cottage Cutz sentiment die “Love you Mum Phrase” (CC-456)

Thank you for visiting today! I hope you like this easy-to-create creation. If you do, please leave a comment – I love reading them. Have a great day and happy crafting.

Regards,

Amelia

What a sweetheart of a card! The string of hearts is delightful in red shimmer paper. I like that you added some of the hearts back into the negative spaces too.
