Set Sail

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme “Beach Time”. You can use the lovely mood board as inspiration for your creation. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.

My card was inspired by the colours , starfish and water in the inspiration photo. I decided to create a masculine card. First I painted a strip with blue watercolour paint, then added my die cut sailboat with mirror tape for dimension. I embellished the one corner of the card with a die cut anchor, a ceramic starfish and sea shells. I finished off with a stamped sentiment.

I also entered my card in the following challenges:

The sailboat and seagulls

The sentiment to match the theme of the card

The anchor, starfish and sea shells

The inside of the card

Lovely, Amelia! Sail boats were on my mind also. Beautiful embellishments and the muted rainbow is fabulous in the background sky.

On many summer days you can see this scene on Lake Michigan with the sail boats bobbing in the waves. Great card.
