Hello friends,
A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme “Stitches”. You can include any kind of stitches … faux, real, dies or stamps. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. The prize to win for this challenge is a “Cottage Cutz Double-Stitched Square die set” and absolutely gorgeous!
I used designer paper with a stitched pattern for my background. I then added squared layers which I framed with stamped rows of stitches. The layers were then framed with pearl strings. For a luxurious and velvety look I cut the sentiment from black metallic glitter paper. To finish off I embellished the card with a small charm, paper roses, wax cord bows and pearl hearts. Although not a favourite card of mine I really like the outcome of the sentiment cut from the glitter paper.
Challenges I entered:
- Creative Fingers Challenge #189 (ends 07/10) – Anything Goes
- Cuttlebug Mania Challenge (ends 07/14) – Anything Goes(Dies listed under Project details)
- Dies R Us Challenge #148 (ends 07/13) – Anything Goes using any brand of metal die that DRU sells (Dies used: Creative Expressions Craft Mini Expressions die “To a Dear Friend” (DEDME033))
The mannequins
The sentiment in glitter metallic paper and the “stitched” frames
The flowers and charm
