Graceful Fairy

Hello everyone,

Today is the start of a new Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge  and we have a wonderful sponsor this fortnight,  the A Day for Daisies digital shop. The theme is fairies or angels (no birds or butterflies) and your projects must be in a vintage or shabby style. Your project  can be a card or any other paper crafting item, such as a scrapbook layout, box, tag, etc.  The prize for one lucky participant is a  $12 gift certificate to the A Day for Daisies shop –  this is the equivalent of 3 images. What a wonderful opportunity to get some of Tammy’s beautiful images.

I chose the image “Graceful Fairy of Flowers” to use on my card. I really like ADFD beautiful images, they just speak to my style. The fairy was coloured with my water-colour pencils, fussy cut and then assembled on my card. The background for the fairy was created with Marianne Design Craftables lattice fence die and ivy corner die. I add several layers of the ivy to the corners. To add a magical touch I randomly glued some pearls to the card and some glitter on her dress. The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.

Feeding The Birds

Hello blog friends,

ADFD_Button2Time for another fun challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow this Saturday. The theme is A Child’s Life and we would love to see what you create this fortnight in the vintage or shabby chic paper crafting style. Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day for Daisies – I just love Tammy’s lovely designs. For my card I chose the adorable image “Feeding the Birds” so kindly sponsored by Tammy. As a child , and still as an adult, the birds always captivate me with their behaviour at our bird feeders in the backyard. So relaxing to watch their hustle and bustle around the garden. I used Prima “Romantique” paper for my background and lovely Prima and Petaloo flowers to embellish my card. The image is coloured with Lyra-Rembrandt aquarelle pencils, my favourite coloring medium for cards. The Design Team at Sugar Creek Hollow created beautiful cards with their ADFD images, please pop over and join in the fun. Your card could be the winner for this challenge.

Challenges I would love to enter  are:

Flower Girls

Hello everyone,

Time for  another challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow and this week we are sponsored by “A Day for Daisies” digital stamps. The theme of this challenge is “Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes.” My card features the darling “Snow-White and Red-Rose” digital stamp so kindly send to me by A Day for Daisies.

I chose some spring colours to give the card a delightful feeling and to imitate a picture in a children’s storybook. The frame is done with two Memory Box Tiffany Frame die cuts overlapping at the back of the image. The pretty flowers are from Prima’s Meadow Lark range “Charme Rose”. A Day for Daisies have a prize for this week’s random winner, so link up your fairy tale and nursery rhymes theme card to stand a chance of winning a $12 gift certificate to their store. The Design Team created beautiful cards with their images for your inspiration. Hop over to  Sugar Creek Hollow , take a look and come and join us this week with your vintage or shabby project.
