Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the beautiful theme of “Butterflies”. Butterflies are always a favorite of DD_Butterfliescard-makers – maybe of their lovely colors and elegance.  The team  created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.

My inspiration from the picture was the left top tile with the pink colors and flowers. The card is created for a teenager who love both pink and butterflies – thus a perfect match for this challenge. I created my background with Cosmic Shimmer Pixie powder  and layered it on pink gingham paper.  The top butterfly die cut panel was  lifted from the card base with mirror tape for dimension. I added punched butterflies, a piece of lace and cherry blossoms for more shabby detail. I finished off with a sentiment and little pink gemstones. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
