Think Spring

Hello blog friends,

We are celebrating Spring at Double D Challenges and I hope you can join us this week with your flower creations. With such a lovely ca-dd-spr1-tileinspiration photo you can just let the creative juices flow. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog and start creating – we would love to see your card this fortnight.

I was inspired by the wood-grain chair, the flowers, green, pink and yellow colors and the birds. I used a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder “Bark” for the background. This was distressed with white acrylic paint for a shabby look. After layering an oval wreath on the background I added lots of flowers and bows. The final touches are a stamped die cut bird, pink hearts and a sentiment. I also made an envelobox  and embellished it to match my card. All the supplies are listed below. Hope you like my take on the inspiration picture.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

Winter White

Hello blog friends,

This week just flies and for me this weekend is the last of my holiday – Monday it’s back to work. Oh, I am going to miss these lazy days filled with crafting, reading and fun things to do. But for today we have a fun new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow .  The theme for the challenge is winter white although the focal image can have some colour. The only restriction is that your project must be made in a vintage, shabby chic or primitive inspired style. I love working with lots of colours on my cards and was really in the deep end with this challenge as I have never made an all white card. To make the banner pop on the white embossed background I used several layers of die cuts, lace, gemstones and pearls. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I also submitted my card in the following challenges:
