Hello friends,
A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme “Don’t BUG Me”. Please visit the Double D Challenge blog and see more wonderful samples from our talented designers and join in the fun! We have a prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org. and a Top Creative Winner and Top 3 will be chosen by the Design Team.
I was inspired by the dragonfly and green colors in the mood board. I decided to make an oblong vintage card for this challenge. I chose kraft paper for the base card and then add a layer designer paper in shades of cream and turquoise. I added a strip of cotton lace and then the three dragonflies to fill the length of the card. For contrast I added die cut leaves and turquoise flowers. A sentiment, wax cord bow and pearls are the final touches. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
I entered my card in the following challenges:
- Scrapy Land Challenges #89 (ends 08/15) – Anything Goes with a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells. (Dies: Penny Black Creative sentiment die “For You” (51-105) — Sizzix Thinlits die (Tim Holtz Alterations “Garden Greens” (661206))
- Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenges (ends 08/06) – Simon Says: Wild Things
- Pile It On Challenge #144 (ends 08/04) – Vintage/Retro and/or Warm Wishes (Vintage card)
