Hello friends,
A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme “Lighthouses”. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.
I decided to create a masculine card for this challenge. I added a die cut fishing net on the base card to create a textured background for the scene. I stamped the sailboat and sentiment on a black framed oval die cut and coloured the image with watercolour pencils. I layered the oval on the fishing net and a lighthouse die cut was added with mirror tape to give dimension to the card. I finished off with seagulls, a die cut anchor and sea shells. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
I also entered my card in the following challenges:
- Crafts Galore Encore #102 (August) (ends 08/30) — Always Anything Goes
- Dies R Us Challenge #197 (ends 08/13) – Summer (Dies used: Elizabeth Craft Designs “Lighthouse” (Nr.1754) — Find It Trading Amy Designs “Fishing Net” (ADD10101) — Spellbinders Nestabilities “Classic Ovals”)
