Hedgy Truffles

Hello friends,

I hope you are all doing well. Today’s post is about a fun new challenge at Double D Challenges with the theme “Woodland Critters”. You can create a card or project inspired by the photo and we want to see lovely animals from the woodlands on your projects. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog. Looking forward to see your card.

I decided to use a cute image from Penny Black for my card this time. The hedgehogs are so adorable and I love coloring with my watercolor pencils for a change. It is the first time I used my new Tim Holtz distress oxide ink and I am quite pleased with the effect I get for the blue sky. I added die cut leaves and a sentiment to finish off. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

Leaves

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog . Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the lovely theme of “LEAVE it to me!”. Looking at the beautiful inspiration picture I decided to join in the fun. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.

I love to make cards with autumn colors and was inspired by the beautiful leaves as well as the colors in the picture.  I used script designer paper for my background and to give the idea of movement I also cut some swirls into the background paper. The leaves are colored with distress inks which is the adhered with mirror tape for dimension. To finish off I added a wax cord bow, some black pearls and a swirly sentiment.

Things That Fly

Hello friends,

For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog. Looking forward to see your card!

I was inspired by the colors, lovely kite and white clouds in the photo. I used two layers of  colorful background paper to create a cheerful feeling to the card. I added the kite and embellished it with little roses and a gemstone. To give the feeling of movement some puffy clouds were added. I finished off with a bright red bow, more blue gemstones, a yellow button heart and a bold sentiment. For the list of dies used, please scroll down to the bottom of my photos. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
