Hello everyone,
Hope you all had a wonderful week so far and that you are looking forward to the weekend. Can’t wait for Friday afternoons as this means 2 wonderful days I can craft and enjoy the lovely summer days with the family and dogs. It is already very hot in South Africa and the Jacaranda trees are slowly displaying their lovely purple flowers. October is indeed one of the most beautiful months in Pretoria.
Today I want to share a card I made for several challenges inspired by a photo, autumn colours, leaves, ribbon and lace and anything else! Autumn colours are a favourite of mine and I really had lots of fun to create this card. The image was stamped for me by a dear blog friend Moz who knows how much I love my Penny Black stamps. For the sentiment I used my new Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzlits die “Typeset”. I was quite pleased with the way it turned out. The card is a bit bigger than the normal 15 X 15 cm so a handmade envelope was part of this creation. Hope you like my card.
Challenges:

An autumn leaf for the inside too

Project details:
-
White cardstock
-

Hello dear blog friends,
I enjoyed it so much making this card this weekend. Apart from using a Penny Black stamp, I just love the bright pink and green colours. The paper roses and rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts as this is one of my projects as guest designer for the month of May. As the challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts and Totally Gorguss is to create a shaped card I decided on this lovely Go Kreate die “Frilly Frame” for the card. This Penny Black stamp always fasinates me as I can see the detemination on the faces of the two little mice on top of the planters to delivery their letter – isn’t it cute? Glad it isn’t me who is hanging between heaven and earth – I am so scared of heights! I also added the little banner, made with a Whimsy banner pennant die set, to give a cheerful and special feeling to the card.
I created the card for the following challenges:

The banner/bunting

The roses

The inside decorated with a banner/bunting too

I used the following to create the card;
-
White and green cardstock
-
Penny Black stamp “Surprise!” (1649K)
-
Prima Designer Paper Sweet Fairy Collection “Rosebud”
-
Whimsy banner pennant die set
-
Marianne Design Creatables “Leaves” LR0151
-
Martha Stewart border punch “Garden trellis”
-
Go Kreate XXL die Frilly #2 (No 380002) for shaped card
-
-
-
Wax cord
-
Tim Holtz distress ink “Peeled Paint”
-
Lyra-Rembrandt Aquarelle and Derwent Inktense water colour pencils for colouring
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks for visiting today. Hope you enjoy looking at my card as much as I had fun in making it.
Happy crafting.
Regards from South Africa,
Amelia

Hello everyone,
What a hectic week, but I was determined to complete my card for the challenge at The Shabby Tearoom before Sunday evening. The challenge is to create a card or project based on an inspiration photo and use blue, white (or cream) and a neutral (kraft, brown, black, tan). The colour combination is one of my favourites and well, I just love to do shabby chic cards. This little Penny Black stamp is the only stamp in my collection that really fits the challenge “sweet dreams”. That little mouse really must have sweet dreams after he indulged in two cupcakes!
I entered the card in the following challenge:

A close-up of the rose, seam binding bow and pearls. The lovely pearl stamens (streamers) were made by my dear blog friend, Moz.

I used the following to create the card:
-
White and brown cardstock
-
-
Penny Black clear stamp set “Piece of my Heart”
-
Penny Black clear stamp set for sentiment “Betsy Bluebell”
-
Si Designs by Amanda clear stamp set for corners
-
Marianne Design Creatables for tag “LR0154”
-
Marianne Design Creatables for flower centres “LR0106”
-
Martha Stewart punch “Pop-up butterflies”
-
Pearls and pearl streamers
-
Guipere lace
-
Seam binding “Queen blue”
-
Paper roses and hydrangeas
-
Heart pearls
-
Stickles “Icicle”
-
Derwent Inktense and Lyra Rembrandt Aquarelle watercolour pencils
-
Tim Holtz distress ink “Vintage photo”
Thanks so much for stopping over today and enjoy a wonderful weekend.
Regards from South Africa,

Hello everyone,
Time flies but I did manage to finish one card for four challenges this week. I enter my card for the following challenges:
Penny Black Saturday Challenge #102 – Lots of Dots
On my card I used cream and black dotted paper from Prima “Flights of fancy collection”, cream black and pink cardstock. The stamps are Penny Black “Water lily skiing” (2063K) and also Inkadinkado clear stamp “Dot flourishes”.
For Fun Challenges – Pick your Poision
I decided on Helen’s beautiful sketch but rotated the sketch to the right. I think I have some of the colour combo (pink, green, blue and yellow)also present although I lacked a bit of yellow – but maybe the cream can count as yellow 🙂
Stamp Something – Two of Something
For this challenge I added two pairs of pearls on my card.
Flutterby Wednesday #110 – Butterflies and Flowers
I added a huge butterfly (Cuttlebug die “Butterflies) distressed with Tim Holtz Distressed Ink “Tattered rose”. The water lily represented the flower I neede for this challenge.
A pink bow and a sentiment completed the card. I coloured the image with Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils and Perfect Pearls. Here is my card:

I hope to finish another card before Saturday . Thanks for visiting my blog and have a wonderful week.
Greetings from South Africa,
Amelia
