Autumn Time

Hello friends

I hope you are all doing well. Today’s post is about the new challenge at Double D Challenges with the theme “Leaves”. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog. Looking forward to see your card!

I love to make cards with autumn colours – the browns, oranges, reds and yellows are so warm and earthy. I decided to create a shabby card with a rustic feel for this challenge. I painted a few scraps of papers with my watercolour paints and then die cut the leaves with different sized dies. I layered a scribble circle on a rustic designer paper background and then added the autumn leaves with mirror tape for dimension.  A few green sprigs are also added for more interest. I finished off with a gold die cut sentiment and a wax cord bow. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

  • Dies R Us Challenge #177 (ends 09/27) – Always Anything Goes with a brand they sell (Dies: Paper Rose die “Scribble Circle Large” (17394) — Lawn Cuts custom craft die “Stitched Leaves” (Item #LF577) — Impression Obsession dies “Small Leaves” (DIE095-D) — Poppy Stamps die “Leafy Sprig” (Style No 1001) — Creative Expressions Craft dies Mini Expressions “Stacked Happy Birthday” (CEDME074))

‘POP’ A Wheelie

Hello friends,

A card to share for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme for our two weekly challenge this time is “Let’s POP a Wheelie”.  The inspiration picture says it all – use anything that has wheels! For more information about the challenge and the prize up for grabs visit the Double D Challenge blog and start creating – we would love to see your card.

I discovered this golden oldie in my Penny Black storage box and I love the cute mouse with the flower cart – he looks so happy!  I kept the layout simple with two die cut lace strips to frame the image. I lifted the panel with the image from the base card with mirror tape for dimension. To finish off I added pink butterflies, glitter and a die cut sentiment.  The coloring was done with my Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils.

I entered my card in the following challenges:
