Hello friends,
Time for a new challenge at Double D Challenges. I am joining Team Darlene for this fortnight’s challenge with the theme
“Handles”(Something that has a handle). Please visit the Double D challenge blog and see more wonderful samples from the talented designers and join in the fun!
I decided on an old Penny Black stamp with an adorable rabbit, bird and a shovel (spade) to represent the “handle” theme for this card. I stamped and coloured the image with watercolour pencils. I then layered the image on striped designer paper and add an arch lattice punched strip on the one side for interest. I finished off with a few pink gemstones.
I entered my card in the following challenges:

Hello friends,
A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme “Anything With A
Tail”. The team have created a bunch of beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. We have also a fun prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org.
I decided on a Penny Black stamp with an adorable cat for this card. I stamped the brick wall with grey ink and layer this on blue card-stock to frame the brick wall. I coloured the image with watercolour pencils, cut it out and layered it on the brick wall background. The pot-plant was stamped twice, which I also fussy cut and added with mirror tape for dimension.. To add more interest and colour I added a die-cut willow branch. I then added a three layer die cut sentiment to finish off .
I entered my card in the following challenges:

Hello friends,
A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme “Colors of
Summer”. The team have created a bunch of beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. We have also a fun prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org.
Now onto the details of my summer card for the new challenge. I decided to make a slimline, clean and simple card, for this challenge. I don’t have any dies or stamps with sea shells or beach balls, so my choice was to go with a bunch of lovely flowers. I used a long neglected stamp which was a perfect fit for the slimline design. The image was coloured with my Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils and then the top layer (with the stamped image) layered with mirror tape on the base layer for a bit of dimension. I added a sentiment, a few light green gemstones and a bow to finish off. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
I entered my card in the following challenges:

Hello friends,
A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme “Signs of Summer”. There are lots of wonderful “signs” in the inspiration photo to inspire your card for the new challenge. The
team also created beautiful cards to showcase summer – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.
I was inspired by the balloons and clear sky in the bottom right photo. I used an adorable teddy bear image hanging onto balloons for my focal point. I stamped the image and colour it with my watercolour pencils. The image was then layered on gingham designer paper. I die-cut several puffy clouds and adhere the clouds and some of the balloons with mirror tape for dimension. I then add some glitter to the balloons for a shiny effect. I finish off with a stamped sentiment and three glitter hearts. There is not much detail on the card as I wanted to create a feeling of drifting away in the open sky on a summer day.
I entered my card in the following challenges:

My card features a clear stamp set from Penny Black. I coloured the image with watercolour pencils, stamped a “quirky” sentiment to do justice to the cute little hedgie and his balloon. I added dimension to the card by lifting the panel off the card base with mirror tape. I finished off with glossy accents to the hearts and some pink star gemstones.
Challenges I entered:

Hello friends,
A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme “Banners”. The team created beautiful cards to inspire you – a
visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.
I love all the colours in the inspiration photo and therefor decided to use a colourful striped designer paper as background. I stamped a cute little bunny on a white tag and did the colouring with watercolour pencils. The tag was then layered with mirror tape for dimension on the striped background. I added a die cut banner in matching colours and embellished it with wax cord bows and little flower blossoms. I finish off with tiny die cut hearts and a sentiment.
Challenges I entered:

The colourful banner

The flowers
