Old Country Roses

Hello friends,

A card to share for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme for our challenge this time is “Focus on the Sentiment”. Please visit the Double D Challenge blog DD_Sentimentand see the wonderful card samples from our talented designers and join in the fun! We have a prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org. while a Top Creative Winner and Top 3 will be chosen by the Design Team.

I used a bold sentiment die cut to create a rustic card for this challenge. The sentiment is my focal point layered on an embossed piece of kraft paper. I stamped the old country roses and leaves (Gina K Designs stamp set) with several colors of distress inks and then fussy cut them. The roses were layered on the background with mirror tape for dimension. I finished of with a few gemstones.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

For my card to celebrate the Double D Anniversary I decided to choose a yummy parfait and a glass of lemonade. After coloring the bits and pieces and gluing it together, I layered the die cuts on pink gingham paper for a happy feel. I added a bold sentiment, piece of lace, bows and gemstones to finish off.

I also entered my card in the following challenges:
