A Truck Load of Flowers

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme “Wheels”. The team have created a bunch of beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. We have also a fun prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org.

This is also my last card for the Double D Challenge blog. To all of the Design Team ladies I enjoyed so much working with you and I will miss all of you dearly. Now onto the details of my card for the challenge. I used a forgotten die cutting set that I purchased last year . I die cut all the elements from white cardstock and used my watercolour pencils and distress inks to bring life to the different pieces. I assembled all the small pieces, then layered it on the background paper and hessian strip with mirror tape for depth and dimension. I finished off with a die cut sentiment. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

The truck and flowers

The flower pots

The sentiment

The inside of the card

Project details

White, cream and black cardstock — Mintay designer paper for background “Beauty in Bloom” (MT-818-08) — Stampendous Cutting Die Set “Truck Load” (DCP1019) — Karen Burniston die set “Word set 2 – Birthday” (1003) — Piece of hessian netting — Derwent watercolour pencils — Tim Holtz distress inks “Antique Linen”, “Vintage Photo”, “Tea Dye”, “Rusty Hinge”

I hope you get inspired to create something beautiful for our challenge and that you enjoy today’s post. Take care and thank you for stopping by! I love reading your thoughts in the comments.
