Rosette Flowers

Hello everyone,

Something different (for a change no roses!) from  me today. I bought the Tim Holtz Sizzlets paper rosettes die this weekend and couldn’t wait to get to my craft table to try it out. I just love the way they look  and think one can get very creative with these dies. I kept my rosettes very simple  and only add some pearls to the centers. I had two challenges in mind when creating this card. The challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show is to show distressed  and torned edges on one’s creation. The color combo was from this week’s color  challenge at The Play Date Cafe and what a lovely inspiration photo to work with:

Here is my take on the challenge:

I created the card for the following challenges:

I also entered the linky party at:

Project details:

  • Blue, cream and pink cardstock
  • Sheet music designer paper from Raspberry Road
  • Tim Holtz Sizzlits Mini paper rosettes die
  • Tim Holtz Alterations Texture Fades “Fancy and Floral Frames”
  • Joy Crafts Butterfly die (6002/0027)
  • Seam binding “Rose petal”
  • Pearls
  • Crochet lace
  • Tim Holtz Distress Inks “Antique Linen” and “Faded Jeans”
  • VersaMagic Archival Chalk ink pad “Malted Mauve”
  • Crafty Secrets sentiment stamp from clear stamp set “Garden Girls”

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card. Have a wonderful week and happy crafting.

Regards from South Africa,

Amelia

Great color scheme and details Amelia. The embossed corner really enhances the beauty of the card. Those rosettes are perfect with the pearls and I love that lace border. Beautiful card! “Hugs” Carol

Lovely idea using the rosettes instead of flowers. I also received my set last week and am enjoying playing with it. Try cutting them using vellum ~ stunning with a little bit of Stickles.
I prefer this size to the bigger version, which I have not used that much at all.
Love your card and the colours are great together.
    Hugz
