Neutrals and Texture

Hello friends,

Today is the start of our new challenge at Double D Challenges. The challenge this fortnight is really easy with the theme “Tan neutrals with texture”.  The neutrals can be kraft, tan, cream, beige, etc and texture can be anything. The inspiration board is so beautiful – I just love all the colors and texture! Please visit the Double D Challenge blog and see more wonderful samples from our talented designers and join in the fun! We have a prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org. and a Top Creative Winner and Top 3 will be chosen by the Design Team.

I was inspired by the cream colors in the photo and the beautiful textured ribbon. I layered the elements on tan designer paper and a die cut daisy background. The butterfly on the die cut tag is lifted from the base card with mirror tape for a bit of dimension. I kept the card simple, but still shabby, by adding some gem stones, paper roses and hessian and wax cord bows. The sentiment was cut with a Penny Black sentiment die.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

The butterfly and tag

The flowers and bow

The sentiment

A close-up of the inside

Hope you like this shabby neutral colored card. I had a great time making it. Thanks for stopping by and your comments are much appreciated.

Kind regards,
